The QA/QC Director will develop, write, execute and manage the company’s QA System and QC processes, and other projects. The Director will report to the CEO and COO and manage the QA and QC staff.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop an FDA compliant Quality Assurance System
- Investigate quality problems and implement corrective actions
- Identify and define project and process improvement opportunities
- Manage staff members
- Work with executive leadership on company goals and strategic plans
- Support and resolve consumer and customer complaints
- Define key strategies and objectives to reduce waste, costs, labor and non-conformities while helping to increase profitability
The qualified QA / QC Director candidate will have:
- BS or MS Degree in Engineering, or related discipline
- 10+ years of experience in QA Management with consumer products
- Must have strong FDA compliance knowledge and experience
- Experience working the development of both QA and QC systems and processes
- Solid written and oral communications skills, able to write company policies and procedures and make companywide presentation and training
- Ability to work with Sr Management on strategy, planning and hiring
- Strong people management skills
- Experience with Oracle, SAP or Visual Quality is ideal
- Able to work with manufacturing, engineering, operations and clients
