Food Process Development Engineer
TWG Recruiters have been engaged to find a Food Process Development Engineer with experience in scaling product production from R&D to commercial scale for the food industry.
As a Food Process Development Engineer, you will be responsible for driving production process innovation and supporting the formula development and production scale-up of various food products. You will work closely with fellow product development scientists and supply chain colleagues to ensure successful product development and scale-up.

Food Process Development Engineer Overview:
- Engineering
- Lead the design, testing and validation work on new food production systems
- Assess current production systems to identify potential optimizations
- Collaboration
- Partner with product development colleagues to optimize product design and production processes
- Process developer
- Lead the development of sole-source nutritional solutions
- Validation of product performance
- Development of ingredient and finished product specifications
- Creation of final formula documentation and supporting information
Food Process Development Engineer qualifications:
- BS degree in Food Science, Engineering or related fields is required
- Master’s degree in Food Engineering or related fields is a plus
- 4+ years in the food production industry
- 1+ year in product design, testing, and development for industrial food manufacturing
- Understanding of formula development process and basic food science
- Experience with sanitary design for equipment and facility infrastructure
- Regulatory, product safety and quality requirements relevant to functional responsibilities
- Ability to design and run scientific experiments
- Efficient at utilizing productivity apps and statistical software
- Excellent interpersonal and team skills; ability to communicate and lead
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills
- Experience in CAD software
